GEOTHERMAL HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS
LET THE GROUND
HEAT AND COOL YOUR HOME!
The company is excellent about proactive care, always calling us in advance to schedule maintenance. This has been a huge help in keeping us accountable and ensuring we don't fall behind on the proper care for our expensive system. It's reassuring to know they are keeping an eye on things. Highly recommend!
Special thanks to Kristain, Caitlin, and Gina in the office, who were not only friendly and helpful but also guided me through filing for all applicable federal and state tax incentives. (With the incentives, energy credits, and savings on heating oil, the system will pay for itself in 5-6 years!)
At one point, we encountered a discrepancy about what was included in the original quoted price. Although the detail wasn’t documented, the owners honored my understanding of the agreement without hesitation. That kind of integrity speaks volumes about a company’s values.
Ground Loop has earned my trust and loyalty — I’m now a customer for life.
Antonio keeps an eye on our system and is always spot on.
The system was installed in September of ‘24 and has been flawless. The temperature in the house has never been this balanced in the 30+ years that we have lived here.
Overall we are very pleased - no buyer remorse here. Highly recommend

WE TAKE PRIDE IN OUR WORK
“Toby was on time, polite, efficient, and explained everything in language I could understand. I had one question that my previous service company could not answer. Toby answered it after a brief exam of the equipment and eliminated five months of worry in seconds.
Excellent experience from my initial contact to the time Toby left the house. I'll see you guys for my fall tune up!”
“Ground Loop installed our Water Furnace geothermal back in 2010, and we have loved it and their service ever since — including that they are always happy to work with you to tweak thing exactly how you want them. The unit works great, except on the extremely rare occasions when something breaks (like when the original compressor died in the middle of a real cold snap a few years ago) but then they immediately help you over the phone, to try to affect a work-around, and then come out real soon to do the actual repair — and they do it right the first time. Over the years, our unit has been serviced by numerous different Ground Loop techs, most VERY good; today Austin Hamel came out for a routine maintenance, and he was WONDERFUL — so very nice and helpful! The office personnel are also very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful!
If you are thinking of buying a geothermal, I bet you will love it. But be sure to get Ground Loop to install a manual over-ride switch for the electric back-up heat, as it is very expensive to run and otherwise automatically comes on if the unit has not reached your call-for temperature within a rather short while. Without that switch (which we always keep in the off position) you can not set the nighttime temperature of the bulk of your house (non-bedroom parts) back any substantial amount in the wintertime — which we enjoy the system being set to do, as that confers significant saving in energy costs.
Thanks, Ground Loop folks!”
“We had our routine maintenance done with Ground Loop last Tuesday, February 4th. Our Technician was Mason who was courteous, efficient and professional. We received a call when he was about 20 minutes away and he was right on time. Thank you for continuing to offer top of the line service.”
“Easy and fast appointment, showed up on time. My technician Mason was very knowledgeable and informative, he was able to get my system up and running in a very timely manner.”

“Outstanding company, staff, and service today for my introduction to Ground Loop. Immediate service and sales appointments scheduled by Christian and Caitlin same day as first call inquiry. Antonio performed super tech service on my HVAC unit, then confirmed consistent cool air from all vents inside. Refrigerant level good and steady. Capacitor sensor cleaned and needed that very much. Important issue for performance so the whole tech appointment was well worth it. Justin checked the flue juncture in attic at roof for evidence of leaks. No water stains there, and he brainstormed with me for many options. Helpful discussion. Now Ground Loop is my go-to and highly recommended HVAC company. Thank you so much.”
“Jason,
We have been quite satisfied with Ground Loop's responses to our calls for service, and for providing continuing periodic seasonal servicing of our two locations. On your recent service appointment, Toby was prompt for his announced arrival, thorough in his checkout of systems' operation, and left the service areas neat.”
“So far everything has been great! From the initial estimate to working with me through all of the financing I have had no issues. I was very happy that my wife and I found Ground Loop being all the way out in Laurel, MD.
Our installation was done days before the temperatures went above 85 and the house feels great, and the energy usage is so low compared to what we had with our old system. I can see this saving us so much money in the long run. Our thermostat said our system was on for almost the whole day (20 hours) on a day where the temperature outside was above 95F and the heat index above 100F. The energy usage was around 12kWh total or $2 for the entire day! The system running for the whole day is exactly what was told to us by Ted and also advertised by the WaterFurnace Series 7 model with variable speed.
Caitlin has responded to all my questions quickly and everyone on the team during the install have been so respectful and nice to work with.”
“I would like to thank Ground Loop for the timely response in sending a technician to determine the problem with my AC system. He was very polite, knowledgeable and efficient in analyzing the situation. Upon his completion, he indicated what had been found and that the office would forward a description of the cost and scope of work. Following approval and ordering the parts, it was only a short period of time for the system to be up and running. During the repair period, we hardly knew anyone was here. System now operating better than it has for several years.”
“Ground Loop just completed a geothermal installation in our home. From start to finish we could not be more pleased. Ted Evans came out to our home and explained the system and installation process. He then examined the site, measured the house and presented us the quote. All of our many questions were answered at that time. After the wells were drilled Ground Loop began their installation which took approximately 2 days as promised. All of their employees were very knowledgeable, professional, and respectfully. They were very detail oriented, and the final outcome reflects that. The county inspectors were on site the other day. During the inspection on of them commented to me that he was not just glossing over the inspection. He takes the inspection very seriously, but he knows from experience that when he is coming out to look at an installation by Ground Loop, he’s not going to have a problem. Things will be done right.
Highly Recommended”
Ground Loop has been very responsive to my needs in terms of scheduling. Also, they have arrived on time and are good at communication. I consider the ability to stay in touch with any service provider important and am pleased with their attentiveness.
